Academic Affairs & Provost’s Office
Academic Affairs at Ursinus is dedicated to meeting the academic needs of the student body as well as the faculty. The Provost’s Office is housed in Academic Affairs and facilitates academic planning and programming; oversees faculty recruitment, retention, tenure, promotion and support; and works to enhance the Ursinus student experience. The Provost is Ursinus’s chief academic officer, responsible for setting academic priorities and leading key initiatives.
- Academic Affairs facilitates faculty development, which provides internal funding for a variety of activities. Information on these programs can be found on our faculty development page. Similarly, the college can assist faculty with external grant funding.
- Faculty interested in conducting research, especially in conjunction with students should visit our Research and Creative Projects page that will outline all of the opportunities we offer to our students and faculty.
- Academic Affairs also produces the Faculty Handbook each year. This document is provided to faculty members to ensure that they are aware of all the policies and procedures here at Ursinus College.
- Once new faculty has an Ursinus login and password, they will be able to access all of the Provost’s Office Resources files.

Finance Office
Located on the second floor of Corson, the Finance Office deals with various items, mostly pertaining to financial matters of the college. If you should have any questions regarding accounts payable, grant accounting, payroll, and purchasing, this is the office that can assist you. Furthermore, you will be able to find frequently used forms on their site such as: check requests, purchase requests, travel reimbursement forms, and more. If wondering about the travel and expense policy here at Ursinus, this is also the office to consult. Since there are many deadlines and regulations associated with the Finance Office’s activities and responsibilities, please visit their page and/or contact someone within the office to receive assistance.
AthLetic Facilities Available to Faculty and Staff
- The fitness center is open to all faculty and staff and their spouses/significant others at no charge. It can also be used by the children of faculty and staff if they are still declared as dependents and if they are 18 or over. Each eligible faculty/staff family member would complete the user forms in the fitness center and then issued an ID card that they can use to work out in the center any time it is open.
- The pool is also open to all of faculty, staff, and students. You must have an ID and a release form needs to be signed prior to using the fitness facility. Please see the links above for more information.
Dining on Campus
Ursinus College Dining Website
Wismer Center serves as Ursinus’ student center and features a variety of dining options. Faculty, staff, and their family members can take advantage of dining in Wismer for breakfast, lunch, or dinner at the faculty/staff rate, children under 12 are half price. Bear Bucks are also accepted (see information under Bear Bucks).

Facilities manages the overall day-to-day operations of the campus. The Mailroom is part of this department as well.
Human Resources
Our Human Resources Office provides information on policies and practices, benefits, payroll (including necessary forms), and much more (including the college’s inclement weather policy). The office will request the issuance of your college ID, email account, laptop, etc. from Tech Support. Human Resources is located in the lower level of Corson Hall.
Library
Employees and their families are encouraged to use the facilities of the Myrin Library. Your staff identification card can be used to borrow books, audio books, videos, and DVD’s. Hours and regulations are posted by the Library staff. They welcome the opportunity to be of help. Use this space not only to check out items, but also as a quiet retreat or for recreational reading. Instructional Technology can offer you valuable insight on teaching and learning as well as how to navigate all of their offered services.

New U (Wellness and Health)
The New U (Nurturing Employee Wellness at Ursinus) wellness program is a cohesive and supportive group that develops, guides, and oversees all of the college’s wellness efforts. NEW U coordinates a wide variety of resources and activities designed to support appropriate health and lifestyle choices that can result in happy, healthy and productive employees. Registrar’s Office
This office plays a vital role not only for students, but also for professors. The Registrar’s office produces the academic calendar, as well as the course catalog for every academic year. This is also the place to find any necessary forms for students (drop/add form, declaration of majors and minors forms, etc.), and for your use (grade change forms, incomplete forms, report of overcuts forms, and grade submission instructions). If you should have any questions concerning courses and/or student coursework, this is the office you’ll want to consult. The Registrar is located on the first floor of Corson Hall.
