We are compassionate, nonjudgmental peers and empathetic listeners who provide guidance, resources, and education on all issues relating to Title IX misconduct. Through our work, we are committed to fostering a safer, more supportive, and inclusive campus community.
what we do
Support and Guidance
We provide one-on-one support to students navigating personal experiences with sexual misconduct, dating or domestic violence, or Title IX processes. Peer Advocates can guide both complainants and respondents through policies, procedures, and available resources on and off campus.
Education and Prevention
We strive to increase awareness and reduce unreported incidents of sexual misconduct by educating our peers. Through interactive workshops, we address topics like consent, healthy relationships, bystander intervention, boundaries, rape culture, and more. If you are interested in the Peer Advocates presenting to your group, you can request a workshop.
Campus Presence
Peer Advocates are available to support events or meetings where sensitive topics may arise, helping to create safe, inclusive spaces for dialogue. We also host well-known campus events, including Sex Toy Bingo each semester and Sexual Assault Awareness Month programming every April, including Denim Day. Our events aim to bring the community together to learn, reflect, and show support for survivors.
Mandated Reporting
As student leaders, Peer Advocates are mandated reporters for Title IX incidents. Our role is to listen with empathy, connect students to appropriate resources, and ensure that support is accessible.
