Who are Melrose Fellows?
Each year, a small cohort of student leaders are selected to be Melrose Fellows, who engage in an immersive program focused on civic engagement and global experiences. Selections for this competitive fellowship occur each fall.
Melrose Fellows take courses emphasizing social and global issues, engage in service learning initiatives through partnerships with community-based organizations, and travel abroad and/or study away.
Year by Year Plan for Melrose Fellows
- As sophomores, fellows enroll in a specially designed course to study a social and global issue. Fellows travel as a group to engage in volunteer work and service learning.
- As juniors, fellows study abroad and expand their global engagement.
- As seniors, fellows enroll in a core capstone course and revisit their signature issue. Fellows also help plan and run The Hub for Civic and Global Leadership programs, including civic engagement projects.
