Go Global 2027 takes place during experiential learning week, the second week of March. Specific dates might vary slightly between each trip; the specific trip pages on the Go Global 2027 page mentions if dates are final or tentative. Most trips will leave Ursinus on Saturday or Sunday March 6 or 7, and return to campus on Saturday or Sunday March 13 or 14.

Go Global is included in the tuition for the class of 2029! Students should plan to bring some money for snacks, souvenirs, and the like, but all main expenses such as transportation, lodging, and daily meals are included.

Because Go Global trips are arranged as group travel, the tuition-inclusive flight/travel arrangement includes a return to the Ursinus College campus. Students wishing to make their own travel arrangements at their own cost should contact the Center for International Programs before committing to an alternative arrangement.

All trips to international destinations (Dominican Republic, Ireland, UK) require a passport valid until at least October , and students will go through TSA checkpoints and customs & border control. Students received information earlier this summer on how to submit a passport application on the Ursinus College campus. The trip to Puerto Rico requires a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or alternative secure form of identification (just like any domestic flight), and students will go through TSA checkpoints. The trip to West Virginia will travel on a coach bus.

Yes, Go Global is open to all students, including student athletes! Academic Affairs and UC Athletics have been collaborating to support student athletes navigating this question. Student athletes concerned about scheduling conflicts should reach out to Johannes Karreth as soon as possible to discuss individual needs. No student athlete will be penalized or suspended for foregoing games or practices during experiential learning week (or while traveling for Go Global).

All students in the class of 2029 that do not opt into Go Global will participate in a local program during ELW 2027. These options will take place during regular business hours from Monday-Friday, March 8-12, 2027.

After students return from Go Global, spring break begins. Any student needing to stay on campus for one or more nights after return (and during spring break) can request to stay on campus during spring break at no cost. Students must make this request before the deadline posted at the Residence Life website.

Sophomores should expect the following:

• September 3, 2026: Placement survey opens
• September 8, 2026: Placement survey closes
• September 16, 2026: Passport application event on campus (for students who registered)
• Week of September 21, 2026: Placements announced
• September 25, 2026: Students accept placements
• October 2026: Registration for APEX-089 course section with meeting times for the spring semester
• November 30, 2026: Cancellation deadline for any reason (no questions ; see policy on cancellations after this point in your acceptance notice)
• Week of January 25, 2027: First pre-departure meeting (during second week of classes)
• January – March, 2027: weekly pre-departure meetings
• March 5/6/7, 2027: Leave from Ursinus campus
• March 12/13/14, 2027: Return to Ursinus campus
• Week of March 22, 2027: Post-return debrief meetings (during week after spring break)
