Peg Williams, Ph.D., ’80, a longtime philanthropic supporter of Ursinus College and vice chair of the Board of Trustees, will be presented with the 2026 Bear2Bear Impact Award for Leadership and Service on April 10.

The Annual Bear2Bear Benefit and Bash features a variety of corporate, promotional, and individual sponsorship opportunities that allow you to make a meaningful impact, celebrate this year’s Impact Award winner, and extend the reach of your corporate brand. Through involvement as sponsors, companies and organizations can support students as they navigate complexity and flourish in a world of constant change. Sponsors also have the opportunity to meet their philanthropic and ESG goals, tap into a healthy pipeline of interns and recent graduates and collaborate with a top college. Ursinus is renowned for its undergraduate research and equips students with the skills and experiences needed to become forward-thinking leaders and problem-solvers.

The Bear2Bear Student Emergency Fund provides special grants of up to $5,000 to students who are facing temporary financial hardship as a result of an emergency or crisis situation. The fund has also been expanded to include completion grants for students who are near graduation but whose financial circumstances may jeopardize their ability to finish their Ursinus academic careers.

The fund was generously initiated by our 2019 honoree, Will Abele ’61, a valued alumnus and member of the Ursinus Board of Trustees, and his wife, Joan. in the 2017-2018 academic year and the first grants were awarded in the Spring 2018 semester. The fund is supported through generous donations from members of the Ursinus community including all proceeds raised through the Bear2Bear Benefit & Bash event.
