CIE Early Immersion is a program for first-year students who are eager to get an intensive, early start to their experience at Ursinus.
CIE Early Immersion students will spend 3 full days with their Common Intellectual Experience I (CIE 100) classmates getting to know one another, discussing assigned texts, and engaging in meaningful discussions about matters of pressing importance to the world today.
The W.R. Crigler Program for Student Success, named for Ursinus’ first African American graduate in 1956, offers a two two-credit courses during the summer and one credit practicum in the fall of the first semester for first-year students. In addition to the coursework, students will be given the opportunity to participate in a community service project, connect with Ursinus alumni, and attend leadership workshops.
