Welcome to CIE Early Immersion — a program for first-year students who are eager to get an intensive, early start to their experience at Ursinus. All first-year students are invited to apply.
Students who are admitted into this early arrival Common Intellectual Experiences (CIE) program get a head start on the first-year experience, including:
- Community building! Meet fellow classmates and your academic adviser early.
- Completing the first semester of CIE early! As a CIE Early Immersion participant, you’ll finish CIE by Thanksgiving, allowing you to focus on your other 3 classes for the remainder of the semester.
- Getting acclimated to life and academics on a college campus.
- Getting introduced early to our APEX at Ursinus initiative. Through APEX, you’ll think about how your answers to the open questions of the core curriculum relate to the kind of work that will be meaningful to you and help you to prepare for a fulfilling career.
To apply, students must first enroll at Ursinus.
CIE Early Immersion was single handedly the best choice I could have made to start my first year at Ursinus.
