Modern Music with Modern Music Ensembles
UC Tonight Modern Band offers students a hands-on experience performing a diverse repertoire of rock, pop, and their subgenres, including indie, funk, soul, rhythm and blues, folk, country, and punk. With an ensemble that features modern band instrumentation—drums, guitar, bass, keyboards, vocals, and horns—students develop skills in musical arrangement, collaboration, and live performance. This ensemble provides a unique opportunity for students (both music majors and not) to explore various musical styles while gaining practical experience in contemporary music-making.
Through regular campus concerts and additional appearances at on- and off-campus events, members actively contribute to the cultural life of the college and surrounding community. Students also benefit from learning in an engaging, collaborative environment that encourages creativity and musical growth. UC Tonight Modern Band is an exciting new addition to Ursinus College, offering a dynamic space for students to develop their talents and share their music.
